Carry the One
Privacy Policy

Effective October 7, 2026

Arcade Again LLC provides Carry the One, a maths adventure for children and families, including children under 13. This policy covers the Android and iOS apps (identifier com.carrytheone.game), the web game, and communications with us about it.

The short version

No account is required. Gameplay and learning records stay on your device unless a grown-up chooses to share a report. Mobile versions include Google AdMob advertisements with child-directed request settings. The web game does not include that advertising integration. Offline gameplay remains available.

Information saved on your device

The game stores progress, scores, settings, up to three save slots, a saved run, and records of maths practice. The Spellbook uses previous problems and results to explain mistakes and guide practice. These records are stored locally in app or browser storage; the game does not automatically send them to Arcade Again or use them to target advertisements.

The game does not require a real name, email address, date of birth, account, or profile photograph. It does not include a separate developer-operated analytics service. This does not exclude the advertising provider's own measurement and diagnostics described below.

Optional crash reports and learning logs

Both features are off by default. A grown-up can enable them in Settings → For grown-ups, behind a check that requires holding a button for three seconds and entering a number written in words. This gate is a practical access control, not a verification of identity or parental consent for every purpose.

A grown-up can turn these features off, delete the logs, or deliberately copy/share a report. The game does not automatically upload them. Review any report before sharing it. If you send one to us, we use it to investigate bugs or improve the game's teaching. Your email or sharing service may include additional information, such as your email address, under its own privacy practices.

Mobile advertising

Android and iOS versions can display an advertisement before a new run and offer optional rewarded ads. Ads need a network connection. The mobile integration marks requests as child-directed and sets the maximum ad content rating to general audience. The game does not request permission for cross-app tracking or supply learning records for ad targeting.

Child-directed advertising does not mean that no data is processed. Google's advertising service may process IP addresses and approximate location derived from them, device/app information, ad interactions, and performance or diagnostic information to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud. Identifier handling depends on Google's SDK, platform restrictions, and child-directed settings. The app uses Google's consent service and does not proceed with an ad request when its consent check fails or the SDK reports that ads cannot be requested.

Where available, a grown-up can reopen Settings → For grown-ups → Ad privacy choices. Device privacy settings provide additional controls. Read Google's Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from partner apps, and Google Mobile Ads data disclosures. Providers may process data outside your country.

Children's privacy and parental choices

We do not use children's game progress or learning records for behavioral advertising, and we do not sell those records. Please have a parent, guardian, or teacher handle support messages and voluntary report sharing. Do not send a child's name, school, contact information, or other unnecessary personal details.

A parent or guardian can contact us to ask about information we hold relating to their child, request review or deletion, or ask us to stop using a voluntarily shared report. We may need to verify the requester's authority using only information reasonably needed for the request. We will investigate privacy concerns and take appropriate steps under applicable law. Requests concerning data independently held by Google or a device platform may also need to be directed to that provider.

Permissions and website visits

Gameplay does not require camera, microphone, precise-location, contacts, or photo-library permissions. Mobile ads use internet access. Haptic feedback can be disabled in Settings.

When you load the web game or this policy page, the web host may process standard connection records such as IP address, browser information, requested pages, and request times to deliver and secure the website. The web game uses local browser storage for saves and preferences. This policy page itself contains no ads, analytics scripts, or tracking pixels.

Retention, deletion, and security

Local saves remain until deleted. On Android, clearing app storage removes local records. On iOS, deleting the app and its data removes local records; offloading an app may retain them. In a browser, clear site data for the game's website. These actions can permanently remove progress. Operating-system or device backups, where enabled, must be managed separately through that provider's controls.

We cannot remotely access or erase local-only records. Voluntarily shared reports and support messages are retained only as needed to address the issue and applicable legal obligations, and deleted when no longer needed. Advertising providers and web/email hosts apply their own relevant retention practices. Deleting the game does not automatically delete data already held by those providers.

We use reasonable measures to protect information we handle, but no storage or communication method is completely secure. We may disclose information we hold when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or at your authorized request.

Privacy requests, changes, and contact

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information, withdraw consent, or complain to your privacy regulator. Contact us to make a request; we will explain applicable limits, including information we must retain by law.

We will update this policy and its effective date if the game's practices change, with additional notice or consent where required.
